LATEST UPDATES ON LAUTECH ALUMNI ELECTION

No more fuse and tension. The coming election of the ALUMNI is promising to be free and fair.

It would interest you to know that notable elders of the Alumni members held a meeting today with all the contestants at the Alumni secretariat. The meeting, according to report, was held at the Alumni secretariat exactly 10am and ended by 5pm.

We gathered from reliable source that the meeting was summoned to broker peace between the 3 teams aspiring for the post of president, amongst others which are team LIMO, team Bayo Adeyinka and team Atops.

Whilst Bayo Adeyinka may not be contesting again, he may eventually be inaugurated tomorrow as the chairman of BOT and Limo will become the president. The inauguration will come up by 3pm in the afternoon at the senate building.

However, investigation further reveals that the reason for the call of the meeting was as a result of the security report from the DSS. This made it imperative for the elders in Alumni to call for an informal meeting  tagged, "a peaceful meeting". This may be owing to the fact that a problem can only be solved in an informal meeting.

At a time of filling this report, we are yet to gather or know whether the Alumni election slated for 11/11/2017 would be a *selection* or real *election*. But as the case may be, the bone of contention is to allow peace to reign.

While our fingers are crossed as the Election Day approaches, undergraduates are therefore enjoin to steer clear from Alumni election.

JUST IN! ALL FACULTY & DEPARTMENTAL ELECTION SUSPENDED

I t  has just been confirmed from reliable source that all departmental and faculty election will be suspended till further notice. The reason for this is as result of the sad event that took place in some faculties & departments.  The call for suspension becomes imperative to arrest the ongoing situation and to further re-strategize.  In view of the above, a memo will be sent tomorrow from the office of the DSA to affirm this. Meanwhile it's important to know that the university is still mourning the death of her student who died as a result of an unknown ailment. While three students who were involved in an accident are still responding to treatment at Bowen hospital.  At this jucture, LAUTECH students should rethink and shun unnecessary violence in the university as a panacea to prevent more casualties.  Academic excellence is our primary assignment. Let's pray for uninterrupted academic activities.    Source   :  Oyedeji Ahmed ...
